FOUNDATION WEAK

Third week of January is the foundation week of Far Eastern University (FEU). Officers and members of different organizations give their time and efforts for this event.

Foundation week in FEU can just be experienced by the people, who are in charge, by the people who joined the contests, leagues etc. The only thing that I experienced in FEU’s foundation week is the “concierto piyu” which is attended by known artists and bands. I’m really disappointed when I heard that the concert was not pushed through just because of the rain, knowing that there were such people who effort in this thing. Sometimes, I cannot stop myself to compare FEU in UST or other university for example in celebrating the foundation day. First thing, in other university there are no classes for one week as to celebrating their foundation week while in FEU we have classes that’s why we cannot feel the presence of foundation week. Another one is the way they celebrate it, in other universities, they allot a big amount of money for the whole week while in FEU, maybe they are allotting a big amount but, where is it?

I am looking forward to enjoy the remaining 1 year of my FEU life. And I wish that in this 1 year I will be able to participate and cooperate to the celebration of the foundation week of the university.

Happy Holidays!

 Happy Holidays!
Celebrating Christmas is really important to me and it was really a most awaited day for everybody. Some must have their new clothes or things for the said day; some are buying gifts for their god child or maybe for a special someone. Some will go on a date with their boyfriend/ girlfriend; some will just be at home. Many of them watch the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

Me? I spend my Christmas in my grandmother’s house in Cavite with my cousins. For our family, Christmas day is reunion day. But honestly I did not enjoyed a lot last Christmas for a reason that the things that I must do like the assignments that my professors asks us to pass on the first day of class, time by time enters my mind. Also, my New Year celebration, I also didn’t enjoy a lot because of the same reason. Maybe another reason for less enjoyment is that some of my relatives didn’t come.

Enough of the negative thoughts! For some reason, I still enjoyed the holidays by attending “simbang gabi”, singing in masses, attending Christmas parties in my different groups and affiliations and most specially spending the holidays with my family, friends, churchmates and other people that are special to me.

I’m so much hoping and wishing for more fun and enjoyment in my celebration of Christmas, New Year and many other occasions that will come with the people that are very special to me. And I thank God for the great work that he has done.
