writing journey

When passion comes in....

The role of a writer is not to say what we all can say, but what we are unable to say.
-         Anaïs Nin –

When I was still young I am fond of writing especially the things that happened in a day. But what I discovered in myself is that when I’m taking a writing subject such as “Creative writing, News writing etc.” I become so dumb and it seems like I don’t know how to write a good article. It’s like that my mind is so busy that I can’t think of the things that I should put on what I am writing.

On my 3rd year second semester in FEU, I enrolled JRM102 which is “Feature Writing” where I learned how to write a feature article, editorial, news letter and many more.  I also learned here that when you are writing your mind should be focused and not thinking of anything else that’s not related to what you are writing. My most unforgettable experience in my JRM102 Feature Writing class was the blog writing/posting because when I was in high school I want to have a blog account to post what I have written but I don’t have the chance to do that that’s why I will not forget this class of Ma’am Cherryl Berin that introduced me in blog world.

I do believe that writing skills must be coupled with good working attitude & values because that’s the most important thing that I've learned in Ma’am Berin’s class. When you are writing you must always put in your mind the works and ethics of writing to help you come up with a good article, editorial or column.

Anyway if I will be hired in a newspaper or magazine company I wanted to be in CANDY magazine because I want to meet the teen celebrities who are now successful even though they’re still young. I also want to write an article about teenager’s life together with the issues involving them. I wish to interview Enchong Dee and Sam Concepcion not only because they are my crush but because they can be an inspiration for the other youth. I wanted to be remembered by the readers through my unique writing skills and because they can relate in what I am writing.

VANDALISM

Wall Posting is on Facebook not in a Real Wall!!!

Vandalism is a criminal act against property but when it's your property being damaged, it affects on a personal level.  You feel violated, and wonder how such a thing could have happened to you.   While vandalism hurts, there are ways that you can prevent vandalism.  Like other crimes against property and people, the first step to prevent vandalism is to understand the crime.

The first time I heard vandalism was when I’m on my high school years. Honestly, I’m one of those who commit vandalism. I did it to make “kodigo” on the arm chairs I also did write on the walls of the CR (comfort room) of our school. The reason why I did that is that i;m tempted to answer what’s written to it. I remembered the things that were written there such as quarrel of lovers, arguments of some students, getting the cellphone numbers of one another and also their comments and hatred to their teachers.

Doing this is not a good thing, first, it damages property. Imagine a wall is fixed and painted by a person then you will just write on it? Because you wrote on it, the person will paint and fix it again. Are you not guilty? Another example is when you write bad things on the wall especially a public wall, a child might saw it and do it as well. Many other things will affect us if we continue vandalism that’s why I, as one of those who vandal promise to not repeat it ever again.

Given the amount of damage, personal inconvenience and injury associated with vandalism, you should care.  You're affected.  You can help!

A Fair That's Different From the Others! :)

A Fair That's Different From the Others! :)

Far Eastern University’s Mass Comm Fair is a yearly event of FEU Mass Comm students as part of the Mass Comm week. This event is organized by the Mass Comm society and was attended by FEU Mass Comm students together with the professors. Contests, games, special numbers and many more are held in this fair.

Last February 17, 2011 take place the FEU Mass Comm Fair which is held at the FEU auditorium. Unfortunately, I was not able to attend this fair because of the other subject’s project such as in our Investigative Report. We are asked to interview DOH and PMHA directors that’s why we were not able to attend even a part. When we came back to school the program was already finished that’s why we celebrate Mass Comm fair by taking pictures on a room which seems like a photo shoot.

These pictures are some of what we have took that day.

Another thing is that I don’t have the Mass Comm org shirt but as you see in the picture i’m wearing an org shirt. That’s Katleen’s shirt which I borrowed just to be a part of the celebration. J

I’m looking forward to attend the FEU Mass Comm Fair next year for it will be my last year in FEU (hopefully).
